Amazing Storytelling, Jarring Plot Hook
Fantastic storylines for Gavin, Liv, Karis, and The Mighty. I would read an entire book series just about Liv.
Baffling storyline for Kip and Tysus. I understand that what they struggled with is a serious condition that more people should be aware of... but while we're on that subject, why not talk about the issue of 17th century soldiers who defecate their guts out and die from dysentery, or how nobles deal with not impregnating their room slaves. Do condoms exist? Made from... orange luxen?
The point is, I don't care to know the answers to these questions in my fantasy novels. I do also read historical fiction, but that's not what this book is.
(Sorry for spelling - I've never seen any of the above names and terms in written.)

I like the many mini plots within the overall plot.
I like the many mini plots within the overall plot. I love that you shone a light on a sensitive issue for women. And I love how many scripture references were in it and disliked so many cuss words.

this series keeps getting better and better. you really start to love and care for these complex characters. sometimes you hate them but sometimes you really feel for them. what an amazing rich story arc this is turning out to be
