Publisher's Summary

This book is about the great moral issues underlying many of the headline-making political controversies of our times. It is not a comforting book but a book about disturbing and dangerous trends. The Quest for Cosmic Justice shows how confused conceptions of justice end up promoting injustice, how confused conceptions of equality end up promoting inequality, and how the tyranny of social visions prevents many people from confronting the actual consequences of their own beliefs and policies. Those consequences include the steady and dangerous erosion of fundamental principles of freedom - amounting to a quiet repeal of the American revolution. The Quest for Cosmic Justice is the summation of a lifetime of study and thought about where we as a society are headed - and why we need to change course before we do irretrievable damage.

Dr. Sowell demystifies the idea logs view.

Tom has a way of presenting ideas that anyone can grasp. As always a pleasure to read.

Another classic

The narrator's voice was great. Powell's books are well researched and make clear arguments. One might think that would be dry but the force of his arguments is so compelling that one cannot help being spell bound.

This book has enormous reach!

Thomas Sowell not only goes on to dismantle the ideal of ‘cosmic justice’ and all its unconstitutional policies but in doing so, he also brings a refreshing take on what it means to be ‘Free’, what it means to be, American.

Great voice acting

Thomas Sowell’s books are always an intellectual treat. But what caught me by surprise was the narration. Robertson Dean’s voice closely matches Sowell’s, and he gets the tone of the book accurately.

Informative

An honest and insightful look at the way things are.

Thomas Sowell does a great job using facts and examples to back up his argument.

It’s great to see that there are still great minds willing to tackle emotionally charged issues by getting to the root of the problem using facts to present solutions and alternatives.
