Story
Aram thinks he’s nothing but a misfit from a small fishing village in a dark corner of the world. As far as Aram knows, he has nothing, with hardly a possession to his name other than a desire to make friends and be accepted by those around him, which is something he’s never known. But Aram is more. Much, much more. Unknown to him, Aram bears within him a gift so old and rare that many people would kill him for it, and there are others who would twist him to use for their own sinister purposes.

Can't wait for the next one
I love this story. It may not be on the level with some of the epic fantasy writers, but it is still very well written. The narrator has done an amazing job of brining the characters to life, and giving them clear definition. 👏 Bring on book 3 Mr. Miller!

I loved not just the story and characters, but also the world building. I usually don't like when politics affects the story but it wasn't too much and I was more interested in the characters to care. All in all a good book.

Real review , Like this if you read and it helps
This series was awesome besides a few hiccups with the performances of some words being pronounced oddly, The story had a few sections of the chapters that felt like a filler portion. That’s some pretty small complaints for two books in the series, each story held both excitement and a well balanced amount of Magic, Dragons and Warriors.
This is an excellent Story full of everything we look for in story’s, in my opinion you will not be disappointed with this story, I don’t wanna give spoilers so sorry about the lack of review
This story is being continued so Review will be ongoing, Enjoy

Captivating, Emotional and Vivid. A must listen!!
In all honesty starting with 'Ascendant', I've grown to follow along the main characters and in gaining perspective for their strengths, weaknesses and Morales as well their challenges.
I admit I was slightly surprised by what felt like a mislead of the mission given from the ending of the first however the flow of the plot including the scenes of the "antagonists" and their mindsets.. feelings and activities gave a shuddering vivid experience.
without spoilers, I can say it has given a true sense of curiosity, pity and sickening disgust for the main antagonist and I can only eagerly await the third book.
With how this world and many arcs are built, there is too much left unsolved before the conclusion can be declared so I can only be held in suspense for continuation.
as for the main protagonists; Holt and Talia along with their dragons seem to be each individually progressing on a massive mission both separate and linked. And IF my suspicion is correct.. there may be another redeeming protagonist with one in their shadow... I cannot wait for that development and the growth of what she of the fading shadows will become.
Overall? I have enjoyed the listening and the narration does well with the individual voices. This story deserves the praise it's earned.
