A place you will never forget. Rosamunde Pilcher's Scotland...where the fields flourish with greenery, the bills bloom with purple, and the lochs glitter with the bright blue of the sky. A time you will never forget. September...when the heather is in full flower, the first chill of autumn cools the air, and the countryside stirs with the hunt, balls, dinner parties, and dance. Claire and her husband, Art, leave New York and fly back to Scotland to care for him during the summer. Publisher's Summary
In this stunning audiobook from number one New York Times best-selling author Rosamunde Pilcher, a woman assumes her sister’s identity for what she believes to be part of a silly game - only to pay the price for her sins....
It seemed such an innocent deception. All Flora Waring had to do was play the part of Rose, her long-lost twin, for one weekend and meet the family of Rose’s fiancé. But when Flora is introduced to the Armstrong family, she realizes that she has inherited the secret scandal Rose created five years before...and left wounds that turn the man Flora loves against her.

A great Rosamunde Pilcher Novel
Rosamunde Pilcher is one of my favorite authors. Under Gemini (like most of her books), is a lovely, quiet story set in beautiful British scenery.
The only issue I had was with the "slap" scene... it was slightly problematic for me, but I gave it a pass due to the fact the book was written in the 70's. In general, of you like Pilcher's other books, or if you're a fan of Maeve Binchy, you'll probably enjoy this book.
The narrator's calm voice was perfect for a Rosamunde Pilcher story, and she did an excellent job of expressing the characters's emotions, without going over the top.

Ridiculous drivel.
I enjoyed The Shell Seekers so I was surprised by this one. Although the premise is plausible, it is dealt with in such an infantile, sexist and inept way that it was torturous. If you appreciate sophisticated literature don't be fooled by all the positive reviews.

Classic 70’s romance. Light and sweet. Not deep. The writing is lovely and the characters lovable.
All that being said it is not about a woman achieving and growing as her own self. But a rather traditional tale of a woman finding herself in a traditional relationship. A bit narrow in that regard. But still a gentle pleasing story of its genre.

most wonderful escape!!
I had read "under Gemini" many years ago and loved it then so I felt that it would be an enjoyable listen. However I didn't realize how enchanted and engrossed I would be by it. Lucy Paterson narration is superb. When listening I was in the changing weather of Scotland, riding the ups and downs of the wild adventure that Flora had gotten herself into. This truly was a listening treasure!!!

Wonderful story
As always Rosamunde Pilchers characters became so real to me and I adored them all. The description of the Scottish seaside made the story come alive.
The narration was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. It was over far to quickly!

Loved!
I love Rosamunde Pilcher and this is my favorite of Pilcher’s shorter novels. The story is sweet and the characters likable. I have read this one many times over the past 2 decades. This was my first time listening to it and the narrator is wonderful! The different voices sound natural but distinct. I will choose a book in the future based on her being narrator.

The warm blanket effect.
This book was the equivalent of being in bed snuggled in a blanket while the rain and wind create a rhythm on the window. The characters provide comfort and security while surrounded by the robust and dramatic scottish background. As usual, I feel bereft leaving this book behind.

implausible
I found many plot points so implausible that I could not enjoy the story. A woman takes off with a complete stranger within barely a day of meeting her identical twin by chance? Not so much as a phone call with her father to get questions answered? The family and townsfolk in Scotland had an unrealistic connection to a young woman who was 17 when they met for a summer holiday and had been 5 years since they'd had any interaction with her. Flora is whiny. I couldn't believe the idea of forcing her to stay after the initial weekend. I couldn't believe anyone would be that pushy with someone they hardly knew or that Antony would just abandon her to do it. I loved The Shell Seekers - one of my all-time favorite books - but this was worse than a Hallmark movie.
