Publisher's Summary

"Things have to come to an end, see. That's how it works when you turn the world into stories. You should never have done that. You shouldn't treat people like they was characters, like they was things. But if you do, then you've got to know where the story ends."

That's the problem when you let real life get in the way of a good story. You shouldn't let it happen, especially when a good story involves three witches, including a fairy godmother, and travelling to a faraway land to make sure that a servant girl doesn't marry a prince. It looks as though a happy ending may be averted before catastrophe strikes. But unfortunately, the forces of good are up against a godmother who has made Destiny an offer it can't refuse.

Which Witch

Witches Abroad

Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrit Garlick and the 3 main witch charters featured in many Discworld books from Sir Terry Pratchett. More developed in later books.

I must say,  dearest reader's that when I first met the 3 I was not sure I would like them. Granny Weatherwax in particular.

I could not have been more wrong. Granny has taught me so much about myself, other people, and the difference between unreal and real magic. The kind of magic  we all have and use everyday. Granny Weatherwax has become one of my favorite and most respected of all of Sir Pratchett's charters. She has even had me in tears 😢. If you are familiar with these books you may know what I am talking about.

In this book Granny Weatherwax faces one of her toughest challenges, The Happy Ending and her own sister. Written with his usual sense of humor I think Sir Pratchett had fun with this book. Have the three witches travel through various parts of the world on their way to save a kingdom from the dreaded "Happy Ending".

Tony Robinson does a very good job with his narrative. The book as a whole is a very good read/listen.

As ever and always I want to thank everyone involved in the creation, publication, production, distribution, and supporting both the written and audiobook format. The would is a better place with good stories in it.

Yours
David Evil Midknight
