  • In the late 1930s, Jews from all over Europe are fleeing the expansion of the Nazi regime and seeking refuge in Hungary, but when WWII brakes out officially in 1939, Hungary also begins to see the effects of the anti-Jewish sentiment on their streets. Schools began to close their doors to Jewish children, Jewish businesses have to close.
