• Rebecca talks to Loraine Midda MBE
    Apr 27 2023

Rebecca speaks to Loraine Midda MBE about how the key to her fulfilling encore is retaining the flexibility that sustained her throughout her career to date. Loraine explains there is a well-known Yiddish saying: "We plan, God laughs". Being agile has been a watchword in an unplanned career. Spending almost 20 years in fashion retail, and then switching to a 30-year career in digital(latterly as Head of Member Services, Parliamentary Digital Services for the House of Lords) was definitely not something in her plan. Along the way, family, life, and work led to many stresses which in turn led to a jopurney in Mindfulness, coaching and mentoring. In this next iteration of life for Loraine it is about giving back. Working with charities, non-profits and concentrating on Trustee and NED roles in addition to introducing Mindfulness in order to bring more compassion into the world. Loraine can be contacted at LoraineMidda@outlook.com or on Instagram @engagingmindfulness.
