Before Irma became our favorite funny ghost, she was just Irma Bankers, a young girl with a sad story. This is the prequel to My Millie series, and the fact is that I just could not let Irma go without telling her own unique story. Happy, loquacious Irma with the big blue eyes and love of anything polka dot was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. What happens that causes Irma to not speak for years, and what was the cause of her untimely end to life on Earth as she knew it? 

Millie Moneypenny is a six foot 84-year-old who is a no-nonsense force of nature. She considered her co-worker, Irma Bankers, silly, chatty and annoying. When Irma was hit by a bus while running after Millie to return a pin that Millie had lost, Millie felt bad for the little 27-year-old. They had never been friends, so why is it that now, over 50 years later – Irma’s ghost shows up to haunt Millie? Why was Irma there and how can Millie help her to rest in peace and move on? 

Millie is a grand ole broad who has a secret - a best friend named Irma, who happens to be a ghost! Come along on their quest to make wishes come true with their fairy house. Will Irma find out why she is here, and will knowing that make her leave forever? That is not a chance Millie is willing to take.
