Twelve-year-old Kara is on the run from King La’ard, but she doesn’t know why. Something is after her. Becoming trapped in the Territories, where humans are unknown and elves, orcs, and dwarves roam the lands, Kara finds comfort with a dwarc named Hambone, Dante the werefox, and Grace the sprite. In her effort to get back to the human land of Faldoa, she finds the assistance of a reluctant wizard and becomes the prey of an assassin elf. Kara must find a way back to Faldoa and then also deal with the evil thing stalking her. 

The kingdom of Faldoa has thrived under its new queen. Euphoria has changed the land, yet evil lies in wait. During a mission to dispose of the last pieces of the magic mirror, she is attacked by a dark elf assassin using a mysterious box. Taylon, her captain of the Royal Guard is able to fight off the assailant, but not before damage is done to the queen, and the shards are stolen. Deep in the Territories, a strange prophecy comes forth from the elves, and Council Member Gantha on a mission to find a wizard of races.

War has been declared and demon possessed Queen Euphoria has struck the first blow against the Territories. Little does she know, Da’Lynn a dark elf possessed by an evil herself has command of the elf army and is moving in to defend the land. Kara, realizing the trouble brewing, seeks out her non human friends, hoping to sort out the trouble ahead. But will Hambone, Snow, Ra’na, and the wizard Ynob be enough to stop the ensuing apocalypse?
