it's ok

So the narrator is good. This is a single POV story.
The storyline is OK. it is over time which is nice to see instead of everything happening in a month and we're married with the epilogue ending with 3 kids... I like that it is a more realistic timeframe.

I just wasn't smitten with the story. I mean I will probably finish at least Isaac's story but I don't know when or if I'll finish the rest of this world. I didn't hate it but it's not going to be a return to book or a highly recommended one. I found it safe (?) I don't know how to describe it. It's a mindless listen, could be used as a relaxing purge from heavier adult romance/ erotic books.

I'm actually disappointed with it considering it came highly recommended and was supposed to have super spicy scenes... meh.

I will say it was nice to have a strong, smart female lead who also has wants and needs but isn't one to bend over without question.
