Discovered Terry Goodkind in the early 2000's and it's a series I love to reread. LOVED this audiobook, the narrator brought it to life! Zedd was my favourite voice but the narrator did pretty great voices in general. He read with great animation and got a little loud in places but I really thought that just added to the emotion in the story. I was disappointed only to see this narrator wasn't used for the next book or really again until book 10 and beyond. I hope the other narrators in between live up to the high standard that Sam has set for me.

Love the book. Really not a fan of the voice acting (but listening at 1.35x speed really helped!), some people have different voices, some don't? The inflections and tone were often way off from the context of the story... Excited to see some of the next ones have different voice actors, but some later also have this one. Will have to use the 1.35x trick on those!

narration was superb. had a hard time stopping so I could sleep. narrator put heart and soul into it, bringing the book to life. thank you. this was very enjoyable

I've read this series a few times. I love the storyline.
I don't care for thr voices the narrator uses. Scarlett sounds like she's in the mob... Richard sounds rather immature..

I read this book way back around 2001-2002, and I absolutely loved it - so I decided to give it a listen on Audible to see if it was as good as I remembered. it absolutely was. Had the perfect amount of action, suspense, fear and fantasy. The narrator only served to add the experience. If you like fantasy novels, be prepared to get hooked - this is the start to a great series!

I have loved this series for almost my whole life, this voice actor truly, truly brought it to life!

The narrator provided a fantastic performance that brought favourite characters from my youth to life! I had forgotten some of the riskier scenes in this story: rape, sodomy and violence. I felt many of these scenes could have been mentioned instead of so graphically detailed... I found myself grateful for the forward skip button more often than I care to admit for a book I cite as one of my favorites from my teen years.

Had a friend read all these books back in high-school.

I held off for a while because of the length of them... which was a mistake. This was such a good story with tons of detail that presents itself without being boring.

the charecters are amazing. I even felt myself loving some of the "bad" charecters.

If you want a big Epic listen that will keep you glued for a long time... start this series.

narrator was great, expressive, and I loved the effort that he put into the reading, looking forward to the next if it's still the same one.
