  • Ep. 95 - Emotional Load of Single Parenting with Debbie
    Jul 8 2025
In this episode of Autism for Badass Moms, we sit down with Bronx native and powerhouse mom, Debbie Mercado, 47, who has faced life's toughest moments with strength, humor, and heart. Debbie is the proud mother of three beautifully unique children: a 26-year-old trans daughter, a 15-year-old autistic son named Logan, and a 12-year-old daughter who’s making moves on the basketball court. Logan was diagnosed with autism between the ages of 3 and 4, with cognitive delays that made Debbie’s solo parenting journey even more challenging. But through all the grief and hardship, Debbie found healing and power in perspective. Her unwavering commitment to motherhood, education, and self-growth led her to embrace her story — not as a burden, but as a badge of survival and resilience.
