  • Episode #217: More On Addiction And The Wound
    Jun 22 2025

    Episode #217.

More backstory. I didn't share this part in the episode. 4 summer's ago I had this idea..I am pretty sure is was summer 2021 because it was the first summer I had been doing better since summer 2020. I wanted to read a bunch of books but I didn't. I got distracted and I think it would be cool to do that again. I talk about distractions and more on the medical model. Does medicine get to the root of trauma? I don't think it does. We carry around a wound and out of that wound comes a lot of choices.

    Episode #216. Hey friends,

I get real about what has really been going on. There has been so much overlap between the symptoms of bipolar and depression with addiction. I have talked on here before about it but I am here to bring it up again. I talk about meetings and some scripture. If you relate to this struggle let me know. Email me: jared.diehl@gmail.com.

  • Episode #213: Good-Bye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction & PTSD: The Life-Changing Science Of Dual-Brain Psychology With Dr. Fredric Schiffer
    May 29 2025

    Hey friends,

This was recorded in March and it has taken me some time to get this episode published. I am so honored to have Dr. Schiffer as a guest.

    His BIO:

As a sought after speaker, best-selling author, psychiatrist and part-time assistant professor at Harvard, Dr. Fredric Schiffer is on a mission to

help people understand their anxiety, addiction and trauma and to offer them a proven method to improve their wellbeing.

Dr Schiffer has a wealth of experience in psychiatry. He has been studying the relationship between past traumas, cerebral laterality, and

depression and anxiety. He has tremendous knowledge of Dual-Brain Psychology techniques.

All problems come out of early traumas and very often it’s trauma that has not been recognized. As the founder of Dr. Schiffer’s Dual-Brain

PsychologyTM, he has discovered a technique to treat the troubled mind using something as unlikely as a piece of junk mail. It’s detailed in his

forthcoming book, Goodbye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction & PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual-Brain Psychology.

His book takes an in-depth look at the science behind Dual-Brain Psychology while offering practical tips and tools to try it for yourself. His

book also shares the many triumphs of patients who have had their lives forever changed by his work.

Dr. Fredric Schiffer has the path to treating past trauma and eliminating drug, alcohol and gambling cravings which most people suffer from for life.

    And other info:

Through his groundbreaking work as founder of the Dual-Brain Psychology Institute, he has discovered that the brain is made up of two minds which are competing for dominance. When the immature and troubled half of the brain is treated, Dual-Brain Psychology techniques can successfully curb anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction, and improve psychological wellbeing.

Dr. Schiffer intends to provide listeners with knowledge about how Dual-Brain Psychology offers a deep understanding of one’s psychological issues and can become the blueprint to help people work through past traumas that are causing anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction.

How can simply covering your eyes reduce anxiety and depression?

What got you interested in split brain studies?

How do you think your work will revolutionise the way doctors treat trauma?

How do I know which side of my brain is most dominant?

What makes dual-brain psychotherapy more effective than other forms of psychotherapy?
