Medicine Bag We all have memories, and physical things, trinkets, keep sakes, and possessions that are important to us. We may have things that have been passed down to us by older relatives who are no longer with us. All of these emotionally charged and sentimental things make up our Medicine Bag. You are asked to look through them now and decide if you will carry them forward. You are also asked to consider whether there are some new things to add to this sacred collection. Perhaps you need to associate ephemeral memories with something physical that is in or added to the bag. A happy time spent on holiday by the sea may be associated with a seashell or a swim mask, or a jar of sand you collected. Storing this Medicine Bag in the home, under your bed, a closet or a draw will keep it close and allow you to draw on the energy it contains. In this life we meet many emotional challenges with people and animals. A Medicine Bag is something we can return to repeatedly to collect energy and strength to navigate through our present challenges. Medicine bag has been sent to you for the second time this month to encourage you to take action. You need to create and update your Medicine Bag now. Because you may face emotional and sentimental challenges soon and you will need strength from the medicine bag! Medicine Mask - Authenticity The mask asks you to face up to who you are. No more hiding behind conformity, groups and teams. No more hiding behind the rules and processes of your work. Now is the time to drop the mask and reveal who you authentically are.  Conformity, groups and teams are all about your desire to fit in, be one guy, or gals. To gain glory and stature by being in a team or group that confers success and togetherness without allowing individuality and creativity. Shaman often wear a mask associated with the qualities of the spirit they are invoking. But this is a for a purpose, a healing session. They support and keep and protect animals, insects, and when they breathe out, we breathe in.  Spend time with nature now. Go out and walk amongst all the plants but especially the trees. Listen to the wind moving through their branches, listen to the animals down on the ground gathering the bounty of the trees. To them, nuts from the trees are fruit and life they can eat and store.  It may be snowing in the northern climates or hot in the southern but trees are growing and breathing. Life is going on all around you when you are out in nature. Let the life and energy of the trees open and charge the energy that is within you to live life and be good to those around you and who care about you… care about them. What next? Staff - Foundations The shamans’ staff is very important to him or her.  It is Foundational to a Shaman. It embodies a spirit that helps and guides them as they practice healing and guiding the soul of one who has passed over. The spirit of the shaman’s staff also protects and nurtures them. The staff sent to you on this card is not so powerful. You are not a shaman and do not need that power. But you need support. Things may be difficult now, the staff is there for you to lean on and steady yourself as you look at what is around you and assess where you are, where you have been and what it is you want to achieve, or the places you want to go and who you need to meet. The staff may also turn you around and take you back to the start, to the beginning of your particular journey. Maybe the new job is not the best thing for you right now. A relationship that is proving difficult may need simplicity, not more complexity and depth. Is it time to start over with a new foundation that staff will help you achieve? Is it time to go in a new direction? If so, staff will take you there and show you the solid rock from which you can start your journey. Tree of Life - Conception Growth. Nothing can grow if it is not nourished. An idea I just an idea unless you give it some foundation in reality. If you need to build or make something to give your idea meaning, this is the time to do it. If it is a person or animal, you are considering. Things that stimulate their mind, their personality and their activity are important to help them grow and be more than they were the day, week, or month before. Tree of Life is Conception. If you are thinking of bringing a child into this world, remember. It is a divine being, and conceiving brings intense responsibility. Just as we have responsibility for the growth and development of an idea, a child or a pet, so are we responsible for the changes those things will bring in us. Learning how to teach a child a skill also changes us as we learn the skill and how to teach it....
