Social Media and Artificial Intelligence has cheapened the cause of a Free Press and is threatening the existence of professional journalism. Authentic City is the antedote to Artificial Intelligence and Social Media. As we build the infrastructure in our communities, we start to train a new breed of authentic journalists; creative directors; songwriters; producers, authors; filmmakers and presenters. The idea is to take the information super highway and curate the information that really matters, and build new bridges next to the rusting beams of the internet. New York and New Jersey attempted to replace The Tapan Zee Bridge by building the Mario Cuomo Bridge next to the decaying structure. It seemed like a great idea, until the shiny new Cuomo Bridge showed signs of poor engineering. It seems that too many times integrity is not an element that modern infrastructure builds in to expensive city projects. It would be like Zuckerberg building the New Jerusalem next to Facebook (or Meta).
