In this episode, we speak with The President and one of the founding members of the Code Green Campaign. We want to help bring awareness to the Mental health of providers. We discuss how they help and what resources they have for departments and for individuals.  We discuss the suicide rate among EMS workers and what employers and partners can do to help one another. Our drink of choice for this episode is a nice Dark Beer from Smokey Mountain Brewing company in Pigeon Forge Tennesse.  

In this episode, we talk to one of our oldest children and get their view on growing up with parents in EMS. We discuss how it directed their choices for life. We also discuss the schedules the parents had and whether it benefited the growing up or hindered it. All the while opening a bottle of Fat Ass Winery Peach wine. In this episode, we discuss taking some of those bad calls home with us.  We discuss taking the uniform off at the front door of the house and does it really happen.  This is the first part of a  discussion about first responders' mental health and things we can do. With the growing number of Suicides among EMS workers, I believe a little awareness we can get those who are having trouble handling bad calls and bad situations help before it is too late.  As always we start with a nice spirit. In this episode, we discuss what it was like for us to be married and both be in the EMS field. We talk about the time we had together and the time apart due to raising 4 children and working 24-hour shifts. We have a fun time talking about what we went through and using each other as our very own run review when we get home. This week we have a wine from up north from Door 44. It is White Door. It was given to us to try by a good friend and we give you our take on it.
