In this episode of Trauma Behind the Glamor, we feature a remarkable woman whose journey reflects both triumph and resilience. Originally from Russia, she has lived in the United States for more than twenty years, building a successful career as a licensed psychotherapist with her own private practice. At the age of 40, she made the bold decision to pursue the dreams she once set aside and entered the world of modeling.
Although told at 20 that she was too short to succeed, she later signed with OMAC Modeling and Talent and went on to walk runways in Paris, Milan, London, Dubai, and New York City. Her work has been published in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. She achieved these milestones while raising four children as a single mother and continuing her full-time career as a psychologist.
Her story is also marked by profound loss. After ten years of silence, she learned that her mother had died by suicide, a devastating moment that shaped her journey and deepened her commitment to living authentically. Through grief and adversity, she has continued to inspire women everywhere with her message that it is never too late to follow your heart.
She admires authenticity in fashion, such as Pamela Anderson’s barefaced runway walk, and supports designers like Tyekia Vegan Designer, whose bold creations promote peace, nonviolence, and compassion. Whether she is in professional attire for her clients, in workout gear for her runs, or in gowns on the runway, she embodies strength, creativity, and courage.
Her life is proof that dreams do not expire. They wait for us to be ready. This is the kind of story we celebrate on Trauma Behind the Glamor: the humanity behind the spotlight and the resilience behind the success.

  • Truth in the Shadows – Understanding Compulsive and Pathological Liars
    Sep 26 2025

    Send us a text

Welcome back to Your Trauma Talks, where we dive deep into the truths people are often afraid to face. Today, we’re stepping into a difficult but necessary conversation—about compulsive and pathological liars.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t about judgment. It’s about understanding. Compulsive liars often lie out of habit, sometimes without even realizing it. Pathological liars take it further—creating elaborate stories, manipulating reality, and often leaving emotional wreckage behind. But behind every lie is a deeper wound. A fear. A need. A trauma.
I’ve seen firsthand how these behaviors can destroy trust, relationships, and even someone’s sense of self. And I’ve also seen how healing begins—not with confrontation, but with compassion and boundaries. If you’ve been hurt by someone who lies compulsively, know this: it’s not your fault. You’re not crazy. And you deserve truth.
If you’re someone who struggles with lying, ask yourself—what are you protecting? What are you afraid to reveal? Because healing starts when we stop hiding.
This is Mr. Trauma Talks, and I believe every story deserves to be told honestly—even the ones we’ve been afraid to face. Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep healing.
