Sarah J. Maas
About this listen
Sarah J. Maas' sexy, richly imagined series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Fav book in this series yet :)
Loved this book! Nestas story was beautifully done, we learnt of her trauma not just from the cauldron but from her human life. Also to have a main character a bit darker, and different from the usual “bright” characters we get was a nice change. Almost as if more people can relate to Nesta. Loved it! Also loved the “girl power” side to it too :) I can’t wait to find out who the next book will be about!

Amazing book!
Love this book but don’t love the narrator. I found it hard to listen to her voice sometimes. The narrator from the other Sarah J Maas books is much easier to listen too.

loved it
It was really well written, the narration was the worst of the books, I didn't like the voices, the women all sounded sleepy or drugged, AZ's voice was wrong, well wrong in my head due to the other narrators.
regardless of the narration, I'm not ready for my time in this world to end, but we shall see if/when she releases the next book. Also, I do believe SJM put herself into a corner by making Elaine, Lucians mate, but maybe not.
Try this book out, I really liked it, again narration wasn't the best.

Her hearts as cold as her Power .
Absolutely 💯 my favorite book in the entire series. Nesta is the most relatable character that SJM has written in my opinion. I found myself so easily relating to Nestas inner struggles, the hate she felt. The need to punish one's self I felt all of it with her .
I also loved the build up between Nesta and Cassian, and the fact that it wasn't love from the beginning. The fact that SJM wrote Cassian as a warrior with a inner struggle and a sorted past didn't hurt as well. Honestly couldn't put it down.

I was HOOKED instantly
I could not stop reading this book! I fell in love with Nesta and the way SJM portrayed her was amazing, much more complex than any other character. I look forward to hearing about Lucien, Tamlin, and Az's next steps, in the next book. Such a great series, an adult version of Twilight mixed with Lord of the Rings basically. Such a great story lane!

Great book, but the narrator wasn’t the best pick
Really well written book, I just wish the narrator used more emotions and tones in her voice. It was hard at times to recognize who was speaking and felt very monotone. I felt the voice should have been more powerful for a character like Nesta.
