Publisher's Summary

Are you busier than you want to be? Than you need to be? Than you are meant to be? It's time to break busy. We are all spread too thin, taking on more than we can handle, trying to do so much - almost as if we are afraid that if we were to take a moment of rest, we might discover that all our busyness is covering up an essential lack in our lives. But God never meant for us to be so busy. God desires for us peace. God desires rest. Brady Boyd shows you how to live a life that embraces stillness and solitude and finds the peace that God wants for you.

Speeding up to slow down... :)

What did you love best about Addicted to Busy?

I loved that it was easy to follow, and thru the stories Brady shared I could relate to things that have happened in my own life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked that he was vulnerable to share that it is a constant battle very much like and alcoholic, or other addict. Each day is a new day.

Any additional comments?

I was on a road trip driving from Texas to West Virginia while listening to this. It was a good time of listening then planning how I could adjust my schedule to schedule in rest for myself, like I used to do for my kids when they were little.

Very Applicable Content

I loved all the real life situation that Pastor Brady himself struggled with. I have a feeling with the practical tools this is an audio book I will listwn too again.

Oasis for the busy!

Couldn't have read - listened - to this at a better time. My schedule is so full and Brady's experience and personal pitfalls made me heed his exhortations. I plan to go back through the action suggestions at the end of the chapters. I want to live in peace and have sabbath rest be a pattern in my life. Very insightful book.
