Publisher's Summary

After six gruelling months back in London, Agatha Raisin returns to her beloved Cotswold village of Carsely - and to the charms of her neighbour, James Lacey. True, James is less than thrilled to see her, but Agatha is soon distracted by a sensational murder. The victim, hiker Jessica Tartinck, spent her life enraging wealthy landowners by insisting on her walking club's right to hike over their properties. Now she has been found dead....

A Great Installment of Agatha's Antics

I love the way that Agatha always gets herself into bizarre situations - usually by pretending to be someone or something she is not. In this case, the unathletic Agatha joins a hiking group just to get near James Lacey and finds herself embroiled in the centre of another murder mystery. Penelope Keith is a fantastic narrator -- in fact, part of what makes these Agatha Raisin books so great is Keith's lively performance. I love the way she conveys the irony of the situations by shifting her voice just a little. Great addition to the series. "Audible1
