The Catenan Republic—the Hierarchy—may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them that once I graduate, I will gladly join the rest of civilized society in allowing my strength, my drive, and my focus—what they call Will—to be leeched away and added to the power of those above me, as millions already do. As all must eventually do.

first half is epic second meh
I loved the first book the story characters and pacing were well done. The second book in this compilation is not so good. there are too many annoying useless characters like Bernice, the fat king arista meets and so on. All bit characters that make u cringe as they ramble on. This series is one of my favs but his side characters are either interesting or extremely annoying.

Good classic Storyline
The plot is awesome and leaves you wanting more every time you got to put down the book. The narrator is, in accordance to his reputation, excellent. The only downside is that some punches are very predictable... but you will want them to happen anyways. Buying the sequel right now.
