I don’t think I could love an enemy to lovers, the marriage of convenience, or possessive jealous hockey player tropes, to name a few, any more than I do with Gloves Off!
Their chemistry was fire on every page, even if they denied it as loathing hate! I thoroughly enjoyed the spirited writing of miscommunication and preconceived ideas which only added to the dynamic between Alexei and Georgia, getting you right in the heartstrings. JF Harding and Stella Hunter were absolute perfection, as Alexei and Georgia.
As always, the dynamic banter, friendships, hijinks, and love that this found family of hockey players has for one another will only make you love them more.
My only complaint about the release of this book is that I once again have to wait so long for the 5th book in the series, The Wild Card. While I hope that this series will continue for every single player and person involved with the Vancouver Storm, realistically, that is just the fan-girl in me not wanting this series and Stephaine’s brilliant writing of these characters and their found families to never end!

ANOTHER great book by Stephanie! I wasn't sure I could get there with our enemies to lovers, but I should have had more faith in our Queen. Volkov was smoldery and possessive, the good doctor was sassy and smart and vulnerable. It was a great combo! I'm still Rory and Hazel forever but this was a fun further romp in this universe.

Let me start of by saying I love this series, and this book is a great addition to it. In terms of the standalones, Gloves Off would technically be my least favourite in the series so far, but shouldn't it say something that it's still an easy 4 star and that I am looking forward to reading it again when the series is complete and I do a re-read?
The only reason that it's "lowest" on the list is because I struggle on a good day with a heavy on the enemies-to-lovers trope, and knowing how much most people eat that up I would say this book will continue to get high star ratings! Stephanie Archer is such a fun writer (she's one of my "if she writes it I'll read it" authors), the spice spices well, and even though they aren't my first choice in couple or individual characters I still got attached to Alexei and Georgia and loved reading their story!

I’m finishing this book yearning for more. Not because it wasn’t a good book but because it was SUCH A GOOD BOOK. I thought I couldn’t like a book more in this series than I did book 3. However I was proven wrong again. Stephanie archer must write these books with drugs laced in them. They are so entrancing and addictive. I was a bit hesitant before starting this book just because of how stereotypical marriage of conveniences are. But again I was proven wrong. The yearning in this book was immaculate. The way that Volkov used flowers in this book, was simply the most unique thing a main love interest character has done for their partner in any of the books I’ve read. I won’t tell you exactly what it is but when you read it and you find out and you’re swooning in delight message me. There was so much lust in this book as well, which made it feel like you were on the edge of total combustion every minute of this book. There were so many moments of tiny details, being important and also Volkov being so specific and tender with how he treated Georgia I was simply a puddle. I really appreciated the angle that Georgia’s character took when it came to marriage and hating it because of the way that females and society have often had marriage take away from who they are as a person. Don’t get me wrong marriage is such a important thing. But, Georgia really talked about how for some women it can mean their hopes and dreams coming second just with how society’s roles for women are as the caretaker the main parent for children often. I can definitely see this book being a book. I reread over and over because of the way little details were placed in this book. I want to reread it again just to see how many more I can find.
