Great story with a poor Narrator

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and this is only the second one I have abandoned due to the lousy narrator. Mr Brown’s performance reminds me of my half-deaf dottering old uncle at the Thanksgiving table who rambles aimlessly through a story and turns you right off the tale.
