Great content, but unfortunate delivery

Most of the content for this title is excellent, but unfortunately Dr. Gundry has two main problems with most of his books. First, he loves to made use of straw-man arguments. While he refers in the opening chapters to a wide variety of different types of keto diets, he then proceeds to refer to a "standard keto diet" or "traditional keto diet" for which he explains that (presumably most people) suffer problems. He then explains that his version of keto (which really isn't that different from what I personally have eaten on my own version of keto for many years except that his version allows for slightly higher carbs) is completely new a different. He effectively attacks a standard keto diet (again, whatever that means) without citing any actual facts in support of those views other than to refer to a few of his individual patients who struggled on such "standard keto diet".

The second problem is that, while he often comes across as somewhat pedantic, he also seems to believe that his audience is incapable of understanding anything in-depth or complicated. That said, what he is recommending is fantastic overall and therefore its hard to hold the above referenced faults against him in any significant way.

Massive energy and weight control

Dr Gundry has written a lot of fine books on health, gut biome, heart health, longevity and all types of metabolic disorders. I have read all of his books and all of them have been excellent. However this book is my favorite for it lays out how to fix your lack of energy and significantly fix you weight control through the functioning of your bodies mitochondria uncoupling. He goes into detail on aging,how to stay younger, how to develop more brown and lose the white fat which increase you energy and lowers your body mass index. The young thin days are back again. How this improves your immune system and for a cancer patient this is great. He goes into great detail on recipes on healthy eating, reasonable fasting to keep you young and what vitamins,minerals,good fats to eat, polyphenols, and good oils to take. This is the third week on his full program and my energy level is through the roof and I am fighting cancer. Thank You DR Gundry!

Great Info But Diet is Too Niche

Dr. Gundry has a great reading performance, the info is great I assume but it's too niche and expensive to follow. "Only goat cheese or cow cheese from southern Europe", "only blueberries from high altitude" and things like that.

Good for keto newbies

Good for someone new to keto or trying to find variations of keto eating. I like the emphasis on "metabolic flexibility". But overall there is nothing new in this book, despite the authors claims, that others haven't been writing about for years in the keto and paleo world.

I’m blown away!

Every person in the world world benefit from the knowledge provided. I’ve been a dedicated follower for years and I even take a variety of his supplements including the olive oil. They have worked miracles on my body and now he’s doing the same thing to my mind! I’m about to binge consume everything he has written! I’m eternally grateful for this marvelous human being! My only complaint is he makes a statement about how detrimental “constant ketosis“ is for the body but doesn’t elaborate.

Good book, well read by the author

Lots of good info, author read better than some pro readers I've listened to. Could have revisited the benefits and evidence of benefits for decoupling mitochondria mid-way through the book.
