Story
You know who your competitors are. You keep tabs on them regularly, and can list them calmly, along with their strengths and weaknesses. But your enemies are a whole other matter. They’re the haters and the doubters who said you’d never make it, the ones who stomped on your dreams. When you think about your enemies, you get emotional. You feel like you won’t let anything—or anyone—stop you.

Many of us dread having to convey our ideas to others, often feeling ill-equipped, anxious, and awkward. Public speaking experts help by focusing on planned communication experiences such as slide presentations, pitches, or formal talks. Yet, most of our professional and personal communication occurs in spontaneous situations that creep up on us and all too often leave us flustered and stumbling for words. Stanford lecturer, podcast host, and communication expert Matt Abrahams provides tangible, actionable skills to help even the most anxious of speakers succeed when speaking spontaneously.

I'm not kidding when I say that everything you would need to know as a high-achiever who wanted a summary for what they need to know to progress, it's in this book.
This book made me reconsider listening to more books when I should be focusing on continuing to make the world a better place with the music arranging work that I do. It's that good. I won't deny the other books that were mentioned for reference and recommendation, as we should do our part to continuously learn, no matter what.
Patrick narrated his book very well. It's very appreciated that he chose to narrate his own book, as it makes a difference for someone like myself who learns better by listening/observing.
Keep up the great work, Patrick. This book has my seal of approval.
