À propos de cet audio

Expansion. Uneasy alliances. Looming Madness.

Both Cal and Dale have become stronger, each in spite of the other.

The dungeon - Cal - knows exactly how much their power has increased and is working daily to become exponentially more powerful. His schemes are becoming more complex and his dungeon - his body - more deadly.

Dale works to subvert the plans of the dungeon, but his opponent is onto him. Hearing a voice in his head distracts him in critical moments, requiring him to fight his mind even as he battles deadly creatures. Unbeknownst to both, their fight is not with each other - it's for the continuation of their lives.

Madness threatens the land, and it is coming for them.

The story line is really good but the narrator's voice is kinda weird and the narrator yells almost everything but otherwise it's perfect

Almost perfect

Was that a Zelda reference at 9:48:04? It was so subtle I don't know if that was on purpose.

Was that a reference?

the first book was hard for me to get into for some reason the story was engaging but I didn't really get hooked till the 9hr mark the second book however!...hahaha wow! I just love cals sense of humor especially as he keeps messing with dale and the other adventurers that's some funny stuff. I had to pause it while I write this review! Back in I go!

This is pure genius!

One of the many single reader, multi voice series that dramatically improve as the story goes on and they "become" the characters.

The performance is much improved over the 1st book. The most over the top characters are toned back just a touch while the minor characters are given unique voices without becoming as cartoony.

The book itself also matures, the 4th wall jokes are more expertly delivered, but maybe matures isn't the best way to describe this.

Ultimately though, I'm a bit tired of forced high fantasy, so I knew going into this that I was going to enjoy it. I can't force myself to sit through another gibberish universe created by yet another author mistaking complexity for quality, prioritizing the creation of new languages over compelling use of their native tongue.

Dungeon Madness does not suffer from this affliction. The book is more at home having sledgehammered through a lot of occasionally painful world mechanics explication in book 1, leaving more time and focus put on the humour of the series.

Really, this review is slightly unnecessary, as the title suggests, you already know whether or not you're going to enjoy it.

Cheers!

If you like it, you will love it
