  • 55: The Science of Tapping with Fiona Schipke
    Aug 11 2024
In this episode we explore the science of Tapping with Fiona Schipke. Tapping, a method that many adults and children alike have found helpful in managing their emotions, has become more popular recently and we thought it was time to find out more. Fiona has a Diploma in Counselling and is a Certified Practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Technique - usually referred to as EFT or Tapping. Fiona has worked in various fields over the course of her life including the legal field and in music, teaching and performing on piano, which she still does on a part-time basis. However since her late teens, a common thread in her life has been a deep interest in people, why they feel and act the way they do, and a fascination with all types of mental health. Fiona devoured books that went deep into eating disorders, relationships, anxiety, personality disorders - anything that looked like it would shed some light on the "Why" of people's behaviours and provide some answers. In 2007, Fiona was given an EFT Manual and realised this was a huge piece of the healing puzzle she had been searching for. She completed the training to become a Practitioner and continues to work, study and deepen her skills in this field today. • 53: Permission to be a Bit Shit with Dr. Alison Asher
    Mar 4 2024

Dr Alison Asher has been a chiropractor almost 3 decades working all over Australia before settling on the Sunshine Coast. She juggles a family, a home practice, events for Chicks Who Click, private coaching clients, MC’ing chiropractic conferences and is passionate about helping more people choose their own adventures and live the life of their dreams.

Observing Alison over the time I have known her I can say she is a constant student always being open to learning more and growing personally and professionally in order to use that to help others, is an avid bibliophile (which is close to my heart) and freaking hilarious to boot. She’s also the only person I have ever gotten into bed with after only meeting them a few hours earlier.

In this episode we have a hilarious and open discussion with Alison about facing new things with courage, her personal journey and why its really ok to embrace being a bit shit at stuff.
