Publisher's Summary

After Jebediah Trapper completed the Impossible Tutorial (by cheating), the vet's been in something of a slump.

His PTSD is gradually guiding him down the path of self-harm. Crippled, stripped of his power, and homeless, he's got no reason to keep breathing.

Until a little girl is in trouble.

An Improvement

Better than the first instalment in the series. The author has almost let go of the unfortunate misogynist language that sprinkled the first book but sadly has slipped into relegating all female characters to bit roles. On the flip side, I can find little fault in the unique world build and well layered story arcs.
