Story
Callum had seen things all his life. There are monsters and beasts living among people, but he learned very early not to admit such things, not if he didn’t want people to think him crazy. It turns out that the supernatural is real, but at 30, Callum has no desire to be part of that secret. Not that he has a choice when it turns out he is a mage, albeit one that hasn’t cast any spells in all his life. There are requirements, duties, and education that the powers that be insist he be subject to. To hell with that.

Publisher's Summary
Book 2 of the Demon Accords.
It's been seven months since Chris Gordon met Tanya Demidova, and a lot has changed. He's stronger and faster and has the senses of a vampire and the appetite of a werewolf. But even as he settles into his new position with the Special Situations Squad and his relationship with Tanya, new threats appear. From south of the border, north of the city, inside the NYPD, and the federal government. But the hardest fight Chris will face is with himself. Sometimes the demon inside is the most dangerous!

making a superhero
when you make him too strong too fast, it leaves very little room for growth. you want to take time with the character and his changes. not make him almost a God. he has some struggles but not enough where you think he could die. no real threat here. just come up with something convenient, where no one can hurt him. not saying the story is awful but there's no struggle to overcome. everything falls into his lap.
