In this revolutionary work - a landmark that signals the true beginning of feminist medicine - a doctor, a philosopher, and a scientist prove that by postponing marriage and motherhood, women have accelerated the aging process, resulting in earlier menopause and, ultimately for thousands, earlier death. In Sex, Lies, and Menopause, they offer strong evidence that the use of synthetic hormones leads to cancer and advise women to turn to natural hormone-replacement therapy to help them elevate their estrogen level for greater energy, libido, and intellectual capacity.

And although we've become used to popping pills, Americans have finally had it with the dangerous side effects, addiction, and over-prescribing - and they're desperate for an alternative. Here's the good news: That alternative has been here all along in the form of ancient treatments used for eons in traditional Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Greek medicine.

Publisher's Summary
From Bulletproof creator and best-selling author Dave Asprey comes a revolutionary approach to anti-aging that will help you up your game at any age.
Dave Asprey suffered countless symptoms of aging as a young man, which sparked a life-long burning desire to grow younger with each birthday. For more than 20 years, he has been on a quest to find innovative, science-backed methods to upgrade human biology and redefine the limits of the mind, body, and spirit. The results speak for themselves. Now in his 40s, Dave is smarter, happier, and more fit and successful than ever before.
In Super Human, he shows how this is level of health and performance possible for all of us. While we assume we will peak in middle age and then decline, Asprey’s research reveals there is another way. It is possible to make changes on the sub-cellular level to dramatically extend life span. And the tools to live longer also give you more energy and brainpower right now.
The answers lie in Dave’s Seven Pillars of Aging that contribute to degeneration and disease while diminishing your performance in the moment. Using simple interventions - like diet, sleep, light, exercise, and little-known but powerful hacks from ozone therapy to proper jaw alignment, you can decelerate cellular aging and supercharge your body’s ability to heal and rejuvenate.
A self-proclaimed human guinea pig, Asprey arms listeners with practical advice to maximize their lives at every age with his signature mix of science-geek wonder, candor, and enthusiasm. Getting older no longer has to mean decline. Now it’s an opportunity to become Super Human.

while there is a lot of interesting information that the author has researched about aging, he is pushing the envelope. With the amount of drugs this guy takes that have not been fully vetted or approved by the FDA, he will be lucky to live to 60 let alone 180!

Great synthetic mind!
I’ve decades on the road to health, wellness and longevity. I’ve read several good and not so good books about it. I’ve background in biology and philosophy. And, now that I know, I’ve been a biohacker ever since.
But I had never seen a person with this drive to understand and synthesize the most knowledge you can get about a subject and present it so clearly and targeted. He doesn’t give a grain for the ‘knowledge or expertise’ of ppl with credentials if they are not up to date in their own fields of study. He challenges everybody and everything not aligned with the latest breakthroughs. He gives us pointed, practical advice.
I just twisted a bit my own knobs following some of his advices and now I have stronger guts and mind.
Thanks a lot Dave.

This was a great book and Asprey definitely brought some interesting information to light that I will be looking into further. I myself am not exactly a bio hacker, and this fellow is a little over the top, but we need people like him to push boundaries and give us a different perspective. If health enhancement is your goal, this is a good listen/read. The audio quality was very good.

How to be super healthy, I will tell you how.
Is the meaning of life to live to be extremely old? I ride a motorcycle so think not.
I can't challenge anything he says in this book but know it's not a goal of mine.
I listened to about a third and was bored of it. Way too many details and explanations. Just get to the point already.
Tell me what's good for me and what's bad.
Before this book I had already cut many foods that weren't good for me and practised intermittent fasting.
This is a fanatical take on nutrition.

No PDF included.. good luck 🙄
The fact that there’s no PDF for us audible people really brings down the rating on the book because that means you literally have to be listening to this book with a pen and paper to write down all the tips, notes, recommendations, protocol , and information down.
I listened to the whole book but it’s so much information that when you get too overwhelmed, you can’t really put into practice... i’m going to try to listen to it more and take more notes so I can figure out a condensed clean protocol that I can start
I get audible books because I don’t have a lot of time to read, now this is giving me more work to do. Also a lot of sales pitches
This type of book really requires a PDF. Just like all my other health and nutrition books do.
I sure didn’t need a PDF when I was reading/ listening to Pet Cemetery by Stephen King

Infomercial
I've read all of Dave Asprey's books. They are infomercial. Get ready to bombardment of his products. He is explaining what is good and what is not good for you. But he always praises products he is making money from and he always finds bad things about the alternatives or only show the bad things about the alternatives... There are also lots of personal opinion of him. Book is still good for someone like me that reads every book on personal health and investment.

Needs a PDF. Good compilation of emerging health
I'm grateful that there are those challenging a medical system only focused on the sick. I'm grateful that we can surface here in this book and movement emerging health and tech to make our lives better and put in to practice research instead of waiting 50 years for it to become mainstream.
The book is a cursory review of many of those options and does less justice than an in depth blog post on them but it does bring up many I hadn't heard of which I think is where the value is in both that variety and having them in one place focused on anti-aging.
I would request an organized PDF based on condition or scenario for the recommendations, color coded by strength of research results (citations on page 2). I'm typing in Chinese herbs mentioned on the audible and I can't spell all of them.
In addition there are so many things you could do and it is somewhat organized on expensive, medium cheap which is great but because there are multiple scenarios figuring out what to do with all of this is a bit frustrating. It needs a flow chart of if you have this, try x, if that doesn't work try y.

Not sure about that
I found two things that don’t make sense to me and the book sounds more like a marketing tool than actual help.
1. He says use nicotine 1 to 2 mg per day in divided doses but then he recommended the lucy brand which starts at 4mg. That sounds like he doesn’t know what he takes or he doesn’t take it at all.
2. He says he uses infrared at his head since he first discovered it but then he says be careful because he had an accident where he couldn’t speak because of too much infrared and he doesn’t describe how to use it. Why would I want to continue listening if I expect just to hear his story but not actually how to use the stuff or the worst is that some of them don’t make any sense. I wish I had a positive feedback because of all the dedication he’s spent but the book is not very clear for me personally.

Misleading and quite possibly dangerous
Instead of listing the litme of things that are wrong, incorrect, poorly researched, outright false, and finally dangerous, I will simply quote one line from the book.
Another compound that helps with anti-aging... heroin.
Yep, he actually recommends heroin (in so many, dance around liability, words). This is at the end of the book after countless other dangerous, unresearched, and unfiunded claims.
In the end, all this book is is a hard sales pitch for all the supplements and companies the author sells or is associated with. Most of those products (to be fair, not all, but most) have been proven ineffective by very reliable studies.
If you want to read something good on anti-aging there are plenty of good books written by actual doctors and researchers who have clinical experience and know-how to give you good recommendations.
This is not one of those books. If you want a good laugh, maybe. Otherwise, skip this book and move on to the next one.

Informative but ridiculous
I appreciate the enthusiasm to live longer but interpretations of the data is questionable. Overall too over the top with a lot of the recommendations, not sure if I can recommend this book , the person has got to be already eating a plant strong diet and have a thorough understanding of nutrition and health to get any benefit from this book
