Amazing book!

I think this book is a must read for everyone. it gives us easy, step by step tools to get on the road to wellness. Not everyone has the means to go to a functional doctor, but everyone can read this book.

KETO emphasis

This book seems to emphasize a keto diet. The suggested meal plans for ELIMIN8 are to me, unrealistic. I do not want to eat steak for breakfast. The recipes are too complex unless you are a real KETO advocate, which I am not. Many of the ingredients seem complicated and are costly because they can only be found at expensive health food stores. The polyinflammation quiz was good and helped me realize what symptoms I had. As much as I wanted to do the diet, I was lost with the suggested tool box items. Because I have identified issues with three of my systems, the 3 dietary tool boxes were all different. If I followed the advice of Dr. Cole, I would be taking pills and supplements until the cows came home. After spending over $300 at the health food store on tool box items, and not really knowing which ones to choose and use(because there were so many), I have decided to take only a bit of this information and customize it with another food elimination diet. It would be good to offer more information on how to approach this diet if you have more than one issue and what tool box items would be THE BEST for overall general health improvement while reducing inflammation.

POWERFUL BOOK

Love the holistic approach and the positive affirmations in this book. As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I’m constantly taking notes while listening to this audiobook. Now I just have to go and pick up the physical book to add to my library and continue my highlighting. I’m sure I will be referring many of my clients to read this book as well. Love the recipes! Great content! Thank you Dr. Will Cole!

In my opinion the plans are unrealistic. This could be a better hard copy book versus an audio book.

Elimination Diet Tips

This book is a guide for eliminating foods that may be causing inflammation in your body. If you are struggling with your health and want to approach it naturally with food first, the elimination diet works. My son was diagnosed celiac and had many allergies, but once we did the elimination diet, we were able to narrow down the foods that specifically bothered him.

Not enough evidence explained in the book

Yes, most too the food suggested to be banned have some scientific evidence, especially sugar, but to suggest tomatoes, beans, and eggs contribute to inflammation without discussing the evidence is highly misleading. I would have liked the book to discuss the studies involved rather than assuming these are bad and should be banned. Please talk to a dietician before going through the advices in the book.

It's FISH this FISH that, fish fish fish...uy!

Person who wrote this is a hardcore keto proponent, and basically has to mention FISH at the end of every and any paragraph to do with food/eating (which is MOST of them). For someone who CLAIMS to have been a vegan for 10 years, they sure as anything have yet to recognize that there are LOADS of vegans/vegetarians that find his constant HALF TRUTHS about how he is cool with us eating the way we do, yet wants us to TRY eating some fish, etc.

Completely bonkers for anyone such as myself to hear someone who claims they once understood what A MEAT FREE diet was about to continually every chance they get PUSH FISH on everyone/anyone...the other parts of the book are FAIRLY good so I gave it ONE extra star because of that, yet consider yourself lucky author, you really deserve 0 or 1 for your constant pushing of your lifestyle on others while you CLAIM to be doing the opposite!
