Terrible advice

If this is your first ever business book you might get something from it. But the author started to lose me on chapter 2 with “get yourself a painting of people like Tupac and Gandhi, and seek their counsel.” I slipped to chapter 3 and had to turn it off after hearing “if you have an issue to solve, find someone else to blame.”

The author’s outlook is that you can do it all alone (counsel from a painting and blaming others). That’s not success of leadership.

Honestly, this book is rubbish. I’ve never left a review before but had to on this one. Buyer beware.

Not Bad. Great Narration.

PBD does a great job narrating his own book. It's easy to stay engaged a listen to, but the content is mediocre. There's a few gold nuggets, but for the most part it's recycled concepts and ideas.
This is just my opinion, but I believe PBD has achieved great success in his own life because of his ability to implement and execute, Not from teaching others how to duplicate his results.

Just really boring

The story was really repetitive and a dumbed down version of multiple other self help books

Powerful and practical!

I have listened to this in its entirety at least 10 times. Patrick Bet-David powerfully illustrates how to move your company forward with key examples from not only his life but others in straightforward language. As an immigrant myself, I completely understand the challenges faced when you have an accent, the initial financial struggles you and your family undergo and the drive to succeed in such circumstances. An absolute must read for all entrepreneurs! Now to listen another 10 times 😁

didn not finish

the beginning/ foundation of the book was not what it seemed. I thought I was going to learn about strategy, not channelling negative energy into success. It's good to re-direct negative energy, but I don't want negative energy to be the core of my success.

The quintessential book on business

Arguably the best book I’ve read on business to date. A brilliant mix of going 0-1, as well as 1M-1B. Masterfully explained using easy to digest analogies and anecdotes with modern relevance. My favourite parts were the breakdown on offer, unstoppable leadership & inspiring teams, and common pitfalls of amateur business owners including primary reliance on a single client for revenue. Read this regardless of which stage of business you’re in.

Patrick Bet Davis life experience provides a lot of life lessons whether it comes to family friends or business. My only thing I like that Patrick reads a lot but if your going to name/book drop have a list of these books.
