A new update arrives to the ultra-popular online game, Realm of Arkon. With Patch 17, the level of immersion experienced by players in their gaming capsules has made virtual reality indistinguishable from the real world. But every gamer's dream becomes a nightmare for Roman Kozhevnikov after he gets confined to Arkon against his will. And not just to Arkon, but to its deadliest zone - Demon Grounds. Playing - or rather living - as his character Krian, it's not just about survival for Roman.

The flames of war spread through the Cursed Princedom to devastating effect. Bound by powerful centuries-old magic, the Great Essences yearn to regain their freedom. In the face of an impossible mission, Krian has no choice but to keep going while risking everything that's become dear to him. The only solution is to become stronger and forget the meaning of the word impossible. And so a plangent wolf's howl soars over the battlefield as a plate-clad cavalry rushes the enemy ranks....

The Spectral City of Cathella is shrouded in strange magic of a powerful artifact. Krian must face the Great Dragons of Pangea, an impossible quest on the Ancient Paths, transformed by the Twice Cursed God, a journey through an endless graveyard, the smile of the Goddess of Stealth.... And rage. Infinite rage. The path to the higher plane never seems to end, too much for any man to overcome.

When driven by a goal, the impossible oft becomes doable, like slaughtering an entire coven of the Twice Cursed God’s adepts without mercy, or leading a legion of demons to storm the last bastion of the Cursed Princedom. But as the impossible hurdles keep on coming, even that drive may not be enough for Krian to escape Demon Grounds, make it to the higher plane, reunite with his sister and friend, and exact vengeance on his mortal enemy....

Roman hätte niemals aus der abgesperrten Ebene, die sein Gefängnis war, entkommen sollen. The final battle looms. On one front, the god of hatred, Vill, leads a horde of undead threatening to overrun the orcish steppe. On another, the dark god Rakot aims to break out of Limbh. But even those threats pale before the one coming from the East: three ancient beasts set on wiping out all living beings. The AI systems are in death throes as the Realm of Arkon seems less and less like a game. The standard behavioral algorithms of mobs and NPCs are long in the past. Krian must fight for his freedom, for his friends, and for the future of the world he now calls home.

Roman was never supposed to escape the locked plane that was his prison. And yet, somehow the impossible task became possible with the help of new friends, and despite the tricks of old enemies. Too intrepid was the demon driven by the fury of battle, the sorrow of defeat, the bonds of unbreakable friendship, and the longing for his beloved. But when gods themselves join the fray, the chances of victory fall from slim to none.

Krian muss sich den Großen Drachen von Pangea stellen, ein aussichtsloses Quest auf den Alten Pfaden bestehen, wird vom zweimal verfluchten Gott verwandelt, muss eine Reise durch einen endlosen Friedhof antreten, dem Lächeln der Göttin der Tarnung trotzen... Und da ist so viel Wut. Unendliche Wut. Der Weg in die höhere Ebene scheint nie zu enden, ist einfach zu anstrengend für jeden Menschen...

Mit einem Ziel vor Augen wird das Unmögliche oft machbar, wie das gnadenlose Abschlachten eines ganzen Ordens der Anhänger des Zweifach Verfluchten Gottes oder das Stürmen der letzten Bastion des Verfluchten Fürstentums mit einer Legion von Dämonen.

Nach den turbulenten Ereignissen von Patch 17 bahnt sich ein großer Krieg an, der bedrohliche Schatten über die Dämonengründe und die Gebiete der hellen Rassen wirft. Die dunklen Götter sind aus einem jahrtausendealten Schlummer erwacht und wollen sich für ihre vergangene Niederlage rächen.

Die Flammen des Krieges haben sich mit verheerender Wirkung im verfluchten Fürstentum ausgebreitet. Die Großen Essenzen, die durch mächtige, jahrhundertealte Magie gefesselt sind, sehnen sich danach, ihre Freiheit wiederzuerlangen....

Mit stümperhaften Fähigkeiten, unzureichender Ausrüstung und ohne Freunde an seiner Seite wird er einzig von seiner Willenskraft angetrieben... und von seinem Hass auf die Leute, die für sein Elend verantwortlich sind.

Für das beliebte Online-Spiel Realm of Arkon ist ein neues Update erschienen. Mit Patch 17 ist die virtuelle Realität in den Spielkapseln nun nicht mehr von der realen Welt zu unterscheiden.
