The God Machine

When Luke Bennet wakes in a world where time flows differently than it does on Earth, he discovers his family, gone missing over the last year, has been dead for a hundred years here. Left to survive in the wilderness as marmots, murderous goblins, giant spiders, and a two-ton raccoon all try to kill him, Aros's latest off-worlder must depend on his newly acquired system to help him level up and live to fight another day.

Luke Bennet isn't fighting alone anymore. The beautiful dwifkin Zea is stalwart by his side, and it's a good thing too. As if the battle-prone squirrel folk and otter-kin weren't enough, he's got mercenaries, bands of raiders, and a bloodthirsty inquisitor on his tail. All he wants is to get back his missing family. Can't a guy catch a break? To that end, Luke is honing his skills by battling all the beasts that get between him and completion of his mission. Still, he and Zea are both banking on a bloodline purification ritual to help them get to the God Machine.

Luke Bennet and his partner, the dwifkin Zea, have reached the eastern continent. But the Pantheon hasn't given up trying to stop them, unleashing a horde of demons across the land in hopes of killing Luke once and for all. Wherever he goes, there are always more, ready to sink their claws into him. And no matter how many of them he defeats, he doesn't get any stronger. Because these beings exist outside of the system itself . . . Demons are hardly the only danger Luke must face.
