About this listen

The #1 personal finance book of all time... translated into dozens of languages and sold around the world.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert's story of growing up with two dads - his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad - and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you.

20 Years... 20/20 Hindsight
In the 20th anniversary edition of this classic, Robert offers an update on what we’ve seen over the past 20 years related to money, investing, and the global economy. Sidebars throughout the book will take listeners “fast forward” - from 1997 to today - as Robert assesses how the principles taught by his rich dad have stood the test of time.

In many ways, the messages of Rich Dad Poor Dad, messages that were criticized and challenged two decades ago, are more meaningful, relevant and important today than they were 20 years ago.

As always, listeners can expect that Robert will be candid, insightful... and continue to rock more than a few boats in his retrospective.

Will there be a few surprises? Count on it.

Great book for beginners

Rich Dad Poor Dad is an excellent book to start you thinking about your relationship with money, how you acquire it, and what you do with it once you have it.

If you find yourself constantly short on money, just ask yourself the question “how do I truly FEEL about money?” Do you think money is the root of all evil, because of values your parents instilled in you as a young child, or do you recognize that money is a tool, made up by humanity, and like all tools, can either benefit or hinder?

If you repel money, look inwardly first, and recognize your own subconscious biases. Then listen to this book with an open mind, and it will give you ideas on where to start your journey to build a better relationship with money.

Good luck, and Godspeed!

Excellent framework for Financial Literacy

Financial literacy should be a requirement in public schools. This would provide us all with a solid foundation from which to build our financial futures. Since that wasn’t the case for me, it’s better late than never. There’s no time like the present. As the Chinese proverb says “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now."

Wish I Had This Knowledge in School!

Wow, I'm actually speechless. I truly believe that every single person should read this book. This book illustrates an amazing contrast between the two realities that both rich dad and poor dad live, all while breaking down the many misconceptions the majority of us hold about the system, money and our view towards those that are wealthy. My mind has been forever changed, and for that I'll forever be grateful.
