In this brilliant book, she describes how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mind-set and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mind-set.

Worth Listening to Multiple Times
Great reminder of how little thoughts and actions can lead to big results. The only coplaint I have is that at times it can sound a lot like an infomercial. The author starts by saying it's not a typical sales pitch on a concept but it feels like that at points, especially when you check out thr website after the fact. If you can ignore and look past the "salesy" component there is great content to learn from.

If you are in Vancouver BC, lets talk C.E.
I am greatful for Darren Hardy's C.E. book !!! This is an extraordinary book. this was a great reminder that we, and most importantly I am fully responsible for my choices in another words, my life!!! I like the stories about his wife Georgia, it was a good reminder that how much effort we should put to show love and care about the most important decision, and possibly the most important relationship in our life. one of my favorite quotes in this book was "sucesses are recipe to failures" Hope you will enjoy this reading as much as I enjoyed it.

Amazing! With one exception.. action items excluded
This book’s content is a 5/5! I learned so much! It was a quick read with so much value in every chapter. The only downside to this audiobook in my opinion though was at the end of each chapter, the author would say to refer to the book for the chapter action items. I was disappointed that such practical applications were not included in the audio. I purchased the audio book to get all the content, not all content except the action items.

Remedial Read: Level 4th or 5th
Nothing profound or really insightful here. This book is basically a list of light stories about common sense subjects peppered with the usual “super achiever” quotes. I’m judging this book harsher because of this authors reference to Jim Rohn being his mentor. By that metric this book is super weak. Let me save everyone 4-6 hours of their lives and $15 by telling you that little incremental things add up to big things. Baby steps, persistence, accountability, choices, the end.

Just ok. If you read/listened to Atomic habits you can skip this one
If I had to extract the most helpful and useful information from this book, it would be about building good habits and eliminating bad ones, and if this the case- you should read “Atomic habits”. Basically the “compound effect” is derived from your good habits, so again, there are better resources on the subject than thus book. Why listen to this one? Easy listen. Might refresh what you already know or introduce you to these concepts.

Horrible
Don't waste your time or money. This was unbearable to listen to, the narrator reminds me of the iconic 1990's infomercial Don Lapre trying to con you into buying his programs. Listening to this was tough, but the content was so basic, and useless it will make you wonder why did you buy this in the first place. Very shocked it had such high ratings, I wonder if its just fake reviews because there is noway this book would offer any real value. Let me sum up the book for you, just think positive and the more you think and do positive things to reach your goal voila instant success. Chances are you have more real life experience then this book offers.

Change your life with small steps
this book doesn't present any new science or discovery. What it preaches has long been known to us; it's the small things done consistently that make the difference after reading this book, I had the urge to make changes in my life. This book was written well, well enough to give me the kick in the bum if I had 1 criticism, it would be that the research done on this book wasn't deep enough to my liking. for example, when he talked about health, he usually referred to dr Oz. Or when he talked about the time Oprah gave away a car to every audience member, saying that it was Oprah who went the extra mile when im fact that giveaway was fully sponsored by Pontiac to promote their new car model Being a nut for proper facts it does bother me, but I wouldn't let that get in the way of me appreciating a well written book. Anyone who wants to change their life should read this

A basic idea that everyday work compounds to bug results. True, but not fleshed out to anything useful. There is no practice advice on how to apply the theory or how this differs from any other self help book that pushes discipline. Disappointing.

Globalement décevant et too fluffy. Tous les bons conseils pourraient tenir en une heure au max.
