About this listen
Legendary leadership and elite performance expert Robin Sharma introduced The 5am Club concept more than 20 years ago, based on a revolutionary morning routine that has helped his clients maximize their productivity, activate their best health and bulletproof their serenity in this age of overwhelming complexity.
Now, in this life-changing guide, handcrafted by the author over a rigorous four-year period, you will discover the early-rising habit that has helped so many accomplish epic results while upgrading their happiness, helpfulness, and feelings of aliveness.
Through an enchanting - and often amusing - story about two struggling strangers who meet an eccentric tycoon who becomes their secret mentor, The 5am Club will walk you through:
- How great geniuses, business titans and the world’s wisest people start their mornings to produce astonishing achievements
- A little-known formula you can use instantly to wake up early feeling inspired, focused, and flooded with a fiery drive to get the most out of each day
- A step-by-step method to protect the quietest hours of daybreak so you have time for exercise, self-renewal, and personal growth
- A neuroscience-based practice proven to help make it easy to rise while most people are sleeping, giving you precious time for yourself to think, express your creativity, and begin the day peacefully instead of being rushed
- “Insider-only” tactics to defend your gifts, talents, and dreams against digital distraction and trivial diversions so you enjoy fortune, influence, and a magnificent impact on the world
Part manifesto for mastery, part playbook for genius-grade productivity and part companion for a life lived beautifully, The 5am Club is a work that will transform your life. Forever.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Great message terrible story
I didn’t know this was a fiction novel. It’s so terrible and cheesy. There are good points in it but this is a really terribly written book. I appreciate the message of it though but could have gone without the story aspect.

Good lessons, cheesy writing
I like Robin Sharma's work, and this book included lots of nourishing food for thought. Nevertheless, I struggled to stay engaged with it overall because of the heavy handed story telling and lesson reinforcement. I think it is a book that has value, but as an actual story, I thought it was pretty bad writing.

Fictional non-fiction
When I started this book, I didn't know that Robin Sharma wrote a fictional story to get convey the points of the 5am club. Though the story was overly dramatic at times, I understand why he chose to write in this format. Sharma skillfully conveys the message of the 5am and provides some examples without coming across as preaching

More of a like-dislike then a love-hate
Well where to start. My honest opinion about the 5AC is confusing to say the least.
I am a lover of self-help, confidence and inspiring books and on that note this book I hits it…kind of…
The information in this book is no doubt valuable as it does show some technique and methods that I do believe are useful and could inspire to help better a person. My issue is the story around the times you are receiving this said information.
When I was listening and they were actually discussing practical things you can do and steps you can take, it’s gold and I was honestly captivated by it and listening intently through sheer interest. Alternatively I really feel like the story all around that facts is simply out of place.
It’s almost feels like two books that don’t go together trying to mesh. When the story you come back in it was more of me saying “okay, okay I get it. There characters, are learning the method but please just get to the info”.
I get trying to wrap a story to help explain everything but the story just has a lack of depth which makes it hard to actually care about these characters and their story.
Which is the exact opposite way I felt when actually hearing the information explained because of how much depth they do go into.
To sum up my final thoughts. There is value in the information provided but if you go into this book for the story (which I did not) I think you may be a bit disappointed.
