Join our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheWonderLandPodcast What is waiting? What is this sense of time standing still, on hold for a decision? Is there anything in nature that waits or rushes? Are conclusions and decisions necessary for the movement of life to occur? “If you are bewitched by the clock you will therefore have no present. “Now” will be no more than the geometrical point at which the future becomes the past. But if you sense and feel the world materially, you will discover that there never is, or was, or will be anything except the present.” Alan Watts “How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?” ― Dr. Seuss Get in touch! podcast.thewonderland@gmail.com Interested in working with us? "The world is your kaleidoscope, and the varying combinations of colours, which at every succeeding moment it presents to you, are the exquisitely adjusted pictures of your ever-moving thoughts." -James Allen

Listen in as we explore the kaleidoscope metaphor. This can be a useful concept to start to understand the phenomena of our seemingly shifting experiences. What happens when the I is also included in the shifting colors and shapes?

We explore the phenomena of feeling like our internal dialogue (manager) is making every decision yet when things don't go as planned or we do not follow through with the relentless orders the manager is nowhere to be found.

Have you really stopped to look at who is this decision maker? The doer of things we attribute our very best and our very worst to?

Where is the persistent, continuous entity responsible?

“Why are you unhappy? Because 99.9 percent of everything you think, and of everything you do, is for yourself—and there isn’t one.”

What we resist persists - but what persists is a story, not the actual feeling or emotion

The only things that can be repetitive is stories and concepts - nothing else stands still

We spoke about the feeling of familiar - now looking into the feeling of resisting

Resistance IS a feeling that we can

The feeling of resistance full stop

    Not the resisting of something

    Maybe it feels like tension?

Maybe it feels like a door opens and we don’t want to walk through it

But the feeling of resistance is what we call when we imagine would be happening if not for this resistance thing in the way

But that other thing we imagine is not real, only this experience can be happening right now.

Do you feel like you battle between what you or things are supposed to look like, and the feelings that come up when they don’t match the mind’s image?

Amanda and Alex explore this phenomena and how it turns out not to be a flaw that needs correction, but a portal out of the merry-go-round of seeking and confusion.

“You" and “your feelings" are the same phenomenon.

No wonder they are hard to isolate and control.” Michael Markham
