Description

Felix would like nothing more than to take a vacation. A long one. One where he didn’t have to wake up every morning and worry over casualty lists for the day.

Ever since he and the Legion had been forced to flee their headquarters four years previous, nothing had gone quite right. In fact, Felix and the Legion have been locked in a shadow war with enemies unknown. Ones with magic that could carve through their technology easily.

As the rest of the world fell apart, tearing itself to pieces at every turn with the return of the old gods, the Legion has held the chaos back. The price in blood has been climbing slowly, lately.

Felix suspects there’s a change on the horizon. One that he hasn’t prepared or developed a plan for. Or so his paranoia has been telling him. That there’s a change coming now that’ll shake up the world. One that will turn it inside out, Legion and Felix along with it.

Felix has decided it’s time to push ahead and act. To finish things and protect his people at the same time. To take his Legion and make it safe.

Because that’s all that matters in the end to him. His Legion. And it always came first.

Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

Narrator nailed it!!

Nick Podehl did a great job. Very few people could create the masterpiece he has done. As for the author William D. Arand, he created a series that falls together so perfectly. I can’t wait for the next one.

Far left field

It’s more like a horny 17 year old Boys wet dream; all the relationships go to hell. This is the first series I read of his loving the first two books but the main plot I see in book three is need more wife’s.

Getting weird

This is the one that starts to get too weird. The other two were very silly but still grounded to some sort of reality. This one goes off the rails and dumps any of the plot or story from the first two

harem full steam ahead

Loved books 1 and 2 but this one starts getting really heavy into a massive harem and it is taking away from the story, sadly it looks like it will be even worse in book 4.

lost the rpg style writing

story line was great but what the first books had that was truly amazing was the detail in each person's upgrades and how it changed their powers it happens like 2-3 times in this book and it was just a touch and go.

So close but no cigar..

Very interesting concept with exceptionally poor execution. The guy has a God like power. Has the God of gods literally rooting for him. An infinite amount of resources (Including people) and he spends half the book caught up in boring legal debacles.... And the other half is him trying to figure out why ALL other gods are suppressing him and his powers. But of corse they can’t actually do anything to him. A dozen literal GODS can’t stop one mortal dude.... He also just has copious amounts of women throwing themselves at him despite him being a complete bore outside of his superpower.
Everything seems like the author just wrote down all his teenage wet dreams and called it a book. All the power he could want. Endless money. And orgies at his beck and call.
I actually enjoyed the first book and was excited to see where the story went. Unfortunately the author seemed more concerned with throwing fan service at his readers instead of exploring any sort of deeper story.

Disappointing after previous books

I spent half this book angry at the characters for their out-of-character stupidity. So many obvious signs they were making mistakes where simply ignored. Also... we get it. Felix’s power is irresistible to powerful otherwise self reliant females. Did we really need another full round of harem additions?

Why?

Why would you take a perfectly good series and try to make it into another one?

I'm deeply disappointed in the author's attempt to merge this series with his other series. It made both of them lesser for the attempt.

No thanks, I'll be getting off this ride here.

Ugh, this series had such promise, what a huge letdown. If you didn't want to continue it, just end it for fucks sake.

This series has lost its way.

I struggled to finish this one. Book 3 has taken a turn for the worse.

What started out as a good premise has fallen

This book series started out with an amazing premise but has quickly turned into an unapologetic furry kids wet dream with spots of decent story mixed in.

Just terrible

Major change in the sorry focus away from legion towards a growing harem. Just awful.
