Don’t buy if you are anti-diet / have ED
She preaches a lot of diety stuff. Like intermittent fasting, categorizing bad vs good foods etc. I wish she just didn’t go into the diet BS. To me just felt like another “white-wellness” book.

Wonderful book. Except chapter five.
This book was phenomenal. The only issue I had was chapter five, if you are recovering from body image issues I’d say just skip over it. I felt the knowledge shared was intended well but I believe there are contradicting theories in regards to what was said. Overall would highly recommend, I felt the rest of the book held invaluable information and helps explain things in a palpable way.

Highly recommend
My therapist recommended this book. I blew her off at first because self help books seemed tacky to me and many have failed me. This book gave me a different perspective and was very relatible. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

A must Read for anyone !!
I have read a lot of books about the topics covered in this one, but these books were more for counselors, psychologists, and other mental health workers. This book is really targeted at anyone looking to take charge of their well-being. She explains a lot of the new research in simple easy to understand information accompanied by examples from her life and her client. I highly recommend this book, and already offered it to a dear friend of mine, I really hope this is the beginning of a paradigm shift in the mental health field.
