Publisher's Summary
It's not you; it's your schedule. Does it sound like magic? It's not. We've all heard of circadian rhythms - those biological processes that give us jet lag and make us night owls or early birds.
But few of us know just how profoundly these diurnal patterns affect our overall health. Bad habits - like skipping meals, squeezing in workouts, working late into the night and then trying to catch up on sleep during the weekend - disrupt our natural cycles. A growing body of research on chronobiology reveals just how sensitive the human body is to these rhythms all the way down to the genetic level.
Our clock genes control more than we realize, and small changes can make the difference between battling our bodies and effortlessly managing weight, sleep, stress, inflammation, and more. Marrying ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with the latest scientific research, this holistic step-by-step 30-day plan provides the tools - and the schedule - you need to transform your life.

Based on ayurveda
This book is based on ayurveda, and only flirts with scientific evidence. It still has some interesting advice on how to organize your day, but the dietary advice is often patently absurd and was hard to get through.
If you are into alternative medicine, you might fancy this book. If you like advice grounded in scientific evidence, I would skip it.

Absolutely Brutal.
Change your schedule, change your life sounded like something that I'd benefit from, and I was intrigued. After struggling through the first couple of chapters that talked about religious rituals and things I'd never heard of, I eagerly waited for the scientific part- that never came.
Unfortunately, while there are a few seemingly reasonable ideas sprinkled throughout this book, the authors undermine their own attempts to convince the scientifically educated by spewing pseudoscientific trash every paragraph. Once I arrived at the part where the narrator said that it's important for men to take their pulse on the right wrist and women to take it on the left due to men having sun energy and women having lunar energy, I promptly switched off the book and returned it to audible for my credit back. As a physician, I can confidently comment that while the ideas of sticking to a regular bedtime, avoiding eating late, and exercising daily will, in fact, contribute to anyone's well-being, I cannot support nor continue to listen to the ridiculous ideas that are presented alongside what would otherwise have potential to be a valuable resource. It's such a shame that the pseudoscience, astrology, and other storybook tales were presented as factual evidence to try to argue points that wouldn't even have needed the help on their own, because it all detracts from the validity of the information in this book. I don't recommend this to anyone.

Helped to change my life in a positive way
This is actually a very good book. I don’t know why there aren’t more people read it.
I started to change my schedules the next day after I started to listen to it, and got good results almost immediately after. However, it seems that I slipped back a little to my old habit, and I will need to remind myself again an again to get me back to the rhythm of the cycles.
Bought a hard copy for my kids after I listened to it since they don’t listen to audiobooks.

I am the type of person that will by any sort of self-help book if I think I could even remotely get something out of it. I’ll usually read a chapter or two, try a couple things and get bored. Good sleep habits started it all
I had no idea this book would teach me so much. In order to keep myself on a good schedule I needed to first get a good night’s sleep. Once I planned around that my wake time, early morning, lunch, and evening routines got underway and I feel clear and full of momentum. By harnessing my ability to understand my own time, I feel I am making time for myself in the future by thinking ahead and being proactive. Great read, very spiritual but not in a religious sense.
