Paris Hilton: As You’ve Never Heard Her Before

***An Instant New York Times Bestseller***

From the woman who is credited for launching what we know as the celebrity focused, “brand” driven, social media obsessed popular culture of today, comes an honest and surprising memoir that reckons with that truth, and shows that there is so much more to Paris Hilton than you might believe.

I was born in New York City on February 17, 1981, three days after Valentine’s Day.

From the time I was a toddler, my brain skipped and flickered with the chemical imbalance of ADHD. Sometimes it was too much.

I’m not bragging or complaining about it, just telling you: This is my brain. It has a lot to do with how this whole book thing is going to play out, because I love run-on sentences—and dashes. And sentence fragments. I’m probably going to jump around a lot while I tell the story.

I came of age during the most turbulent pop culture period ever.

The character I played—part Lucy, part Marilyn—was my steel-plated armor.

People loved her. Or they loved to hate her, which was just as marketable. I leaned into that character, my ticket to financial freedom and a safe place to hide. I made sure I never had a quiet moment to figure out who I was without her. I was afraid of that moment because I didn’t know what I’d find.

I wrote this book in an effort to understand my place in a watershed moment: the technology renaissance, the age of influencers. I also wrote this book so that the world could know who I am today. I focused on key aspects of my life that led to what I am most proud of—how my power was taken away from me and how I took it back, how I built a thriving business, a marriage and a family.

There are so many young women who need to hear this story. I don’t want them to learn from my mistakes; I want them to stop hating themselves for their own mistakes. I want them to laugh and cry and embrace every aspect of who they are with fearlessness and pride. We all have our own brand of intelligence, and, girl, f--k fitting in.

I caved and listened to my FIRST audio book

I love reading and have been stubborn about trying audio books…I didn’t want annoying voices distracting me from the content or ruining how I was narrating the novel in my mind. I heard through a podcast that the best way to “read” Paris’ book was by listening to it…I’m so glad did!

I’ve always been a fan of Paris’, but now I look up to her! She’s a force and so much deeper than many give her credit for.

Thank for your vulnerability and your work to make changes.

I’m going to pick up the print copy too…I hope to have her sign it one day 💖

Wow

I must say, I misjudged Paris Hilton for a spoiled idiot. She's so much more. So relatable, even if you're not uber rich. She was failed by her family and her story is worth your time.

Not what I expected!

I downloaded this for a vacation in Miami expecting a fun and fluffy read! I was totally shocked and moved by what I read- between the residential schools and adhd struggles I found myself sobbing at points throughout - for everyone who has been through this experience… my young son has adhd also so I feel I have gained additional insight! This is actually a very eloquently written memoir with many key takeaways to living your. Eat life for you! Also incredibly inspirational to always embrace change and understand that things always get better if you are open! Kudos Paris!

« That’s hot ! »

I was curious about the book, but I wasn’t a fan. She just turned me into a « little Hilton ». Her narration is beautiful, love her voice. I love that it seems honest and genuine. She’s such a force of nature. I’m really impressed by the book… a must !
Thank you Paris 💋♥️

wow.

I'm around the same age as Paris Hilton. I was neither a fan or a hater, but I always love reading about trailblazing women, and Paris is one heck of a trailblazer. Her story blew me away. if I wasn't a fan before, I am now! What an amazing woman.

Not what I expected!

This was such an amazing memoir to listen to. It's truly quite incredible to learn about what Paris has been through and where she is now. I really enjoyed her storytelling as well (I have ADHD so maybe I just really related to the tangents and sidenotes but I didn't find it difficult to follow at all!
