Morel season is in full swing and Ivy Morgan and her brother Max are on a mission to see who can bag the most of their favorite treat. Instead of mushrooms, though, they find a traumatized boy running away from a shooter. After tracing his footsteps back to the source, they find his father dead and a mystery that desperately needs to be solved. Jack Harker’s investigation is a doozy. The boy’s family life is a mess, there’s no one to take him in and every source leads to more questions. Once the state takes custody, Ivy can’t stay away and instead tries to bond with the boy.

Halloween is right around the corner and Harper Harlow should be at her happiest. She's moving in with her boyfriend Jared Monroe, after all, and into a house that's right across the street so she won't be separated from her best friend. All should be well - and it is - until one of Harper's customers stumbles across a dead body in the cemetery during a tour one night. The woman, a local who worked at the bank, was last seen at a rather infamous party and her movements before and after that are murky. She has ties to a lot of people, and not all of them are upstanding citizens.

Rowan Gray has a lot on her mind. Between her uncle dropping a bomb about the father she believed dead actually being alive and a mountain of feuding cheerleaders descending on The Bounding Storm, Rowan can’t quite seem to get a handle on her emotions. She has a job to do and opts to focus on that rather than her missing uncle - which is the professional thing, of course - but her mind is a busy place to visit. When the infamous omen pops up, it seems one of the warring cheer coaches is in trouble. Rowan dedicates herself to finding who might have murder on the mind.

For Ivy Morgan, that means deciding on the finishing touches for her basement renovation project and toiling away at her nursery to get flowers and bushes ready for the upcoming planting season. All that changes when a shot rings out and Ivy finds a dead woman in her driveway. The woman was supposed to be there, she was Ivy’s designer, after all. Still, Ivy can’t help but wonder if the designer was the intended target. The timing seems a little too convenient.

The Bounding Storm is racing toward adventure, and this time it’s something completely out of the ordinary. Rowan Gray still can’t wrap her mind around the fact that an old shipwreck – one that could make salvagers rich beyond their wildest dreams – is going to be The Bounding Storm’s main focus for a full week. It’s true, though, and the shift in demeanor on the boat is exciting and worrisome at the same time. Even Rowan’s boyfriend Quinn isn’t immune and he’s swept up in the grandeur of the event, right until things turn sour and someone attacks one of the divers. It becomes clear rather quickly that something else is going on and someone has nefarious designs on the find.

It’s the most magical time of the year... for Harper and Zander, that is. Not Christmas, mind you, but Halloween. That’s right, Whisper Cove’s favorite ghost-hunting duo are decking out their house for their favorite holiday - and they’re only mildly fighting while doing it. While visiting the community barn, one of the girls prepping for the annual pageant falls ill and Ivy has a terrifying vision of the event before it happens. It turns out the girl has been poisoned, and in an effort to watch the remaining girls, Ivy signs up to be a mentor.

It seems Phantoms, one of the most popular shows on the Independent Ghost Hunting Network, is interested in doing a location shoot at Ludington Asylum, which just happens to be located on a small island near Whisper Cove. Since childhood, Harper Harlow has been infatuated with the story of a crazy doctor gone rogue and the resulting investigation that found numerous missing patients (but no bodies) at the former institution. Producers want to feature Harper and Zander on their show, and Zander is happy to oblige despite Harper's reticence.

Happiness, joy, and a proposal? Merry Christmas from Shadow Lake. Jack Harker is a nervous wreck. He has big Christmas plans for his girlfriend Ivy Morgan, and they involve a ring and house renovations all at one time. First, he has to make sure they both make it through a tense holiday season, though. For Ivy, things are less clear.

It’s not Halloween but horror is hitting The Bounding Storm … and Rowan Gray couldn’t be more excited. That’s right, the Indie Horror Movies are being held on the ship and that means the entire guest list is made up of members of the B-movie industry. As a horror buff, Rowan is having trouble containing her enthusiasm. She can’t wait to meet some of her favorites, although the experience might not be all she dreamed about.

After surviving an ordeal that almost claimed Maddie's life, and admitting his true feelings (at least to himself), Nick is at a crossroads. He has a girlfriend to break up with, and a move to make. Both tasks are giving him fits.

Fall is here and Ivy Morgan is excited. Halloween is her favorite time of year and all she wants is to share her good mood - and three little words - with her boyfriend Jack Harker. That all changes when Jack and Ivy discover a body in a corn maze and Ivy is overcome by a dark foreboding that renders her unconscious. After sitting vigil, Jack is relieved when Ivy opens her eyes. He's not bothered - only curious - when she tells him what happened. As she recovers, Ivy realizes she's seeing through a killer's eyes.

Detective Jack Harker and Shadow Lake's resident witch Ivy Morgan are finally on the right romantic track - and they're officially going on their first date. While eating dinner in a neighboring town, a police officer is shot and killed on the street - and when the ballistics come back, Jack realizes his tortured past is still part of his tumultuous present. Jack's demons are on display, and he's in danger from an old enemy's grudge and a current enemy's vengeance.

Maddie Graves is returning home, and it's under unfortunate circumstances. Following her mother Olivia's death, someone has to take care of Maddie's cantankerous grandmother Maude, and the family tree is almost limbless now. It's not easy for Maddie to return to small-town life in Blackstone Bay, mostly because the boy she left behind is still there - and she's drawn to him the second she sees him again.
